Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law and demonstrate exceptional skills in legal drafting, research, negotiation, advocacy, and writing. This role involves representing clients in various family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, and property division cases. The Family Lawyer will work closely with clients to provide legal advice, develop strategies, and ensure their rights are protected throughout the legal process.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and property division.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents including claims, motions, and agreements with precision and clarity.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Maintain communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress and developments.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to build strong cases for clients.
  • Attend court hearings and represent clients effectively during proceedings.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law regulations and practices.

Experience

  • One to three years experience practicing in family law.
  • Member of Law Society of British Columbia.
  • Proven experience in family law practice is preferred.
  • Strong skills in legal writing, research, negotiation, and client communication.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Pay: $80,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
